Loved By You

The Domino Effect

The story begins in the streets of Kampala When an American missionary meets a businessman, he converts to Christianity and the domino effect is felt all the way to the slums of Kibera in Nairobi, Kenya many years afterward.

The benefits of reading the book

Missionaries are God sent

A passionate missionary from the USA  sent by the International Mission Board meets a Kenyan international business man in the streets of Uganda, the ripple effect proves that this was more of a devine setup than coincidence

God prepares the missionary
& mission field

“The missionary poured his life into him. The man of God did such a good work that the discipleship classes he took my dad through grounded him in the ways of the Lord for good. Not only did the missionary impact change to my dad; it had a domino effect on the entire family.

Everyone has a role to play

“Because of what one obedient missionary did in the streets of Uganda, thousands in this world will come to know the Lord and great consequential ministries keep coming
up from the same stalk” You can GO, you can PRAY, you can GIVE, you can serve on short term MISSION, you can ADVOCATE

Book Reviews

See what our readers are saying

Peter Abungu through his book “Loved by you” has done a marvellous job in challenging and demonstrating how social gospel can transform and bring hope to the hopeless people living in the poorest slums. With a lighthearted and personal touch, the author provides real life changing story and practical solution that really work. ”
Robert Manda, Lead Pastor New Life Church, Lilongwe Malawi. Africa

So many of us live lives with such small dreams even though we have access to so many earthy resources and the eternal and all-powerful God. Peter Abungu, in his book Loved by You, clearly shows all of us what it looks like to grab hold of the calling and dreams, regardless of our position or status, and move in a way that can make an eternal difference in literally thousands of lives”
Matt Petty, Senior Pastor, Burnt Hickory Baptist Church Powder Spring, GA.

I can’t think of too many people whose life exemplifies the heart of Jesus like Peter Abungu. His upbringing resembled that of the prodigal son – rebelling against God but ultimately returning to Him with a renewed passion to love, befriend, and serve the least of these in the Kibera slums of Nairobi, Kenya.  Peter shares the three altars that shaped his life and eventually catapulted him into founding Swahiba Networks.”
Jonathan M. Leath, MSOL, Co-pastor of Converge Church, Moorestown, NJ, and author of YOLO You Only Lead One

“Loved by You’ is a product of a journey of compassion that has passed the test of time. Peter has consistently walked this path and has displayed a tireless resilience towards the care for the needy. Like a muscle, his helping hand continues to grow stronger by the day as he exercises and demonstrates love – energized and driven by the greatest love of all – the love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This Love is being felt through all that have been impacted by Peter and Swahiba Networks.”
Rev. Nick Korir, Senior Pastor – Nairobi Chapel – Ngong Road, Kenya Africa

“From the first time I meet Peter it was obvious he was a man of passion and purpose. Now that passion and purpose comes to life for all of us in the stories shared in, Loved by You. I encourage you to give it a read and be reminded and encouraged of the faithfulness of our God.”
J. Roger Davis President & Executive Director YM360 / Servant Life USA.

“Peter is a dear friend who loves Jesus, his family and the poor. He is one of the few men I know who lives out the words of Jesus from John 15:13. In the pages of this book are moving stories and testimonies of what happens when a man lays down his life for the sake of his friends (Swahiba). If God can use Peter to transform thousands of lives of boys and girls in Kibera slum by the power of His love, He can sure use you. I hope and pray this book will inspire and challenge you to lay down your life for the sake of others. ”
Abraham Kalyapu, Pastor, Jubilee Church London, UK
